As of November 2023, the IVN app has been rebranded and upgraded to IVN Natuur. This new version enhances the outdated route application, broadening its offerings significantly. Notably, it has been designed to be energy-efficient, extending battery life during use. However, users should be aware that the initial months will involve refining the content of the previous routes. Aiming for an optimal user experience, the complete functionality is expected to be fully available by 2024.

The IVN Natuur app allows users to immerse themselves in nature, providing access to some of the most beautiful walking and cycling routes across the Netherlands. Users can also plan memorable multi-day treks. Acting as a compact nature guide, the app incorporates audio clips, images, and text to facilitate learning about both the natural environment and the historical context of various locales. Additionally, it features local nature activities and fosters community engagement by allowing users to share their photos with fellow nature enthusiasts.

Thanks to its technological advancements, IVN Natuur ensures a sustainable experience without compromising functionality. The app is available for free download, inviting users to enhance their outdoor experiences.
